Under the Golden Sun
Under the Golden Sun is the name of one of the most beautiful tenement houses in Wrocław’s old marketplace and is now home to the Pan Tadeusz Museum of the National Ossolinski Institute of Poland. Housing the only existing manuscript of Adam Mickiewicz’s extraordinary book – “Pan Tadeusz”, perhaps the last book known in fragments by nearly all Poles by heart – the Museum showcases Polish culture and its history of struggle for an independent country.
Covering over 4,000 m², including 17 permanent exhibition rooms and 1,500 m² of galleries and learning spaces, the Museum contains over one hundred interactive multimedia terminals, making it one of Poland’s most contemporary museums.
Unique Interactive created and delivered the interactive multimedia solutions – including ‘Oculus’ Virtual Reality experiences, and touchless gesture recognition interfaces – designed to offer a richer and more engaging experience to the Museum’s visitors.
The Museum’s exhibition, learning and artistic programmes are designed to enhance visitors’ creative faculties and broaden their cultural experience, enabling them to explore the complex facets of Polish culture and legends.
Our brief, when designing the innovative solutions for the Pan Tadeusz Museum, was to focus on dynamic, non-standard interfaces; our solutions allow visitors to fully engage with the multimedia on a new level, creating a unique user experience that teaches, intrigues, inspires and enlightens.
The Pan Tadeusz Museum is a must-see dynamic attraction for visitors of all ages, located at Wrocław’s ‘Old Town Market Square’ in Poland – one of the most beautiful historic market squares in Europe.
